Surah Al-Fatir (The Originator of Creation), Verses 27 - 29

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِۦ ثَمَرَٰتٍۢ مُّخْتَلِفًا أَلْوَٰنُهَا ۚ وَمِنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ جُدَدٌۢ بِيضٌۭ وَحُمْرٌۭ مُّخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَٰنُهَا وَغَرَابِيبُ س

Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky with which We bring forth fruits of different colors? And in the mountains are streaks of varying shades of white, red, and raven black; 

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَٱلدَّوَآبِّ وَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ مُخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَٰنُهُۥ كَذَٰلِكَ ۗ إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى ٱللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ ٱلْعُلَمَـٰٓؤُا۟ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ غَفُورٌ

just as people, living beings, and cattle are of various colors as well. Of all of Allah’s servants, only the knowledgeable ˹of His might˺ are ˹truly˺ in awe of Him. Allah is indeed Almighty, All-Forgiving.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَ كِتَـٰبَ ٱللَّهِ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَنفَقُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقْنَـٰهُمْ سِرًّۭا وَعَلَانِيَةًۭ يَرْجُونَ تِجَـٰرَةًۭ لَّن تَبُورَ

Surely those who recite the Book of Allah, establish prayer, and donate from what We have provided for them—secretly and openly—˹can˺ hope for an exchange that will never fail,

Oak Park Muslim Community creates a gathering place and community for Muslims in Oak Park, Illinois and the near West suburbs. We welcome Muslims of all ages, racial, and cultural backgrounds who live or work in our surrounding near West suburban community.

Our inclusive, diverse community is a place for Muslims to practice their faith openly, learn and grow in a supportive environment.

Meaningful Worship

OPMC is a place to practice and grow in your faith. Our diverse, supportive community is open to all who wish to gather for prayer and religious education in the Islamic tradition. Our misson is to build a mosque and community center that will serve Oak Park and the surrounding communities.

Community Gathering & Support

From potlucks to Iftar dinners to family picnics, OPMC creates spaces to gather with family to share community and fun. OPMC also gives back to our local communities through food drives, fundraisers and other community service opportunities.
